Liébana is undoubtedly one of the places to visit when visiting Cantabria. Its landscape, traditions and culture make this area a very unique treasure in our region.
The proposal includes an early departure from Santander, a visit to the Monastery of Santo Toribio, whose Puerta del Perdón is the destination of the Camino Lebaniego every Jubilee year. It is one of the holy places of Christianity along with Rome, Jerusalem, Santiago de Compostela and Caravaca de la Cruz. It contains the lignum crucis, the largest preserved part of the cross of Jesus.
Visit to Orujera El Coterón, where we can learn about the production and taste this famous and traditional Cantabrian distillate.
Typical Liebana lunch in Potes, capital of the region.
Visit to a winery in the area. This area of Cantabria is the only one in which red wine is produced, and of an enormous quality that is being improved year after year.
Return to Santander.
