My name is Rafael López-Alonso Abaitua. I'm from Santander, and I belong to the fifth generation of winemakers in the López-Alonso family. I have 12 years of experience representing Spanish wineries for export, which has given me the opportunity to get to know many countries around the world and to learn about wine and people. In 2011/2012, I completed my master's degree in Enology and Viticulture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, after which I started traveling, something I continue to do today.
We are very fortunate to have vineyards in some of the most beautiful and special places in Spain, and a wonderful potential that our wine tourism has to exploit, combined with visits to other artisanal productions typical of our region, as well as with our extensive and great cuisine, with our wild nature, our culture and history.
The objective of Wine Two Trip is to show our region and its wines to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to discover these treasures.
I think that in our region, Cantabria, we are at a time of full growth in the quality of our wines and our wineries.
