At Wine Two Trip, our goal is to promote wine tourism (enotourism) in Cantabria. It is clear to us that our region is a diamond in the rough. Our proposal is to organize an experience that has as its center the visit to a wine production, and we give the option to complement it with other exciting activities. In addition, we offer the organization of accommodation, either rural or in the city, as well as transportation during the stay.
My name is Rafael López-Alonso Abaitua. I am from Santander, I am 36 years old and I belong to the fifth generation of winemakers in the López-Alonso family. I have 12 years of experience in representing Spanish wineries in export, which has given me the opportunity to know many countries around the world and to learn, about wine and people.
In 2011/2012 I did a master's degree in Oenology and Viticulture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, after which I started to travel, something I continue to do today.
I believe that in our region, Cantabria, we are in a moment of full growth in the quality of our wines and our wineries. We are very fortunate to have vineyards in some of the most beautiful and special enclaves in Spain, and a wonderful potential that our wine tourism has to take advantage of, combining it with visits to other typical artisanal productions of our region, as well as with our extensive and great gastronomy, with our wild nature, our culture and history.
The objective of Wine Two Trip is to show our region and its wines to all those who have not yet had the opportunity to get to know these treasures.
